MEET THE TEAM
David Hallas
I have an interest in people. I love reading and have a thirst for information and knowledge. I have a deep affection for animals, and my pride and joy are my two golden retrievers, as they bring joy and happiness into my life.
I’m an avid sports fan. I love playing golf and tennis and watching cricket, rugby and football. I value connecting with my friends over a meal and wine. My happy place is in the bush – getting close to nature.
I enjoy walking my dogs with my wife Sarah, in the forests and on the beaches of Cape Town. I love spending time with my daughter in the UK where she is a professional chef.
My favourite quote is “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning how to dance in the rain?
David has an MBA Degree from the Henley Business School and is a qualified Neuromodulation Coach through Neuronostics, owned by the South Africa Neurosurgeon Dr Ian Weinberg. He is also a certified Systemic Wellness Practitioner through the U-ACT Professional Coaching Body.
David is a South African managing partner of the UK based The Positive Profitability Company and a Co-founder of Mind Growth Masters.
He had a successful 32-year corporate career in marketing and sales. However, his special interest in leadership and human performance led him to launch his new career coaching executives and employees in the commercial arena.
Having been through his own journey, in terms of burnout and personal tragedy, David is able to identify with his clients as he understands firsthand the role that brain chemicals play in mental wellness.
Sarah Hallas
I love South Africa for its natural beauty, mountains, wildlife, complex history and multicultural society.
I am passionate about people and their stories and have a deep, sometimes overpowering love for our two golden retriever’s, Gemma and Piper. I am at my happiest when we are walking in the forest or along the beach, they are truly my comfort in times of sadness and a joy when I am contented.
My other delight is cooking, and I love being in the kitchen rustling up a quick dinner for my husband or a feast for my friends. When I am relaxing, I love knitting or reading. Learning about the power of the mind, along with new ways to reach my true potential is my subject of choice.
David and I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world from Japan to USA, Italy, Egypt and Spain, to name a few favourites. However, Skiathos in Greece is our much-loved destination because the cuisine, beaches and weather are sublime!
Our daughter, Emma, is a private chef in London, and we are incredibly proud of her. She inherited my love for cooking and has turned it into a successful career. We love spending time with her, and my favourite pastime is trying out new recipes over the festive season when she visits us in South Africa.
After qualifying in English, Drama and Politics at Stellenbosch University, Sarah enjoyed a 30yr career within the pharmaceutical industry. Twenty five of those were spent running her own successful eventing company, specialising in the medical fraternity.
Sarah qualified as a FAMSA certified Marriage Preparation and Marriage Counsellor in 2001 and followed this with qualifications in Bereavement Counselling and Addiction Coaching from The Foundation Clinic. In 2021, she completed a Transformational Coaching Course at the Academy of Coaching SA.
Sarah is a South African managing partner of the UK based The Positive Profitability Company and a Co-founder of Mind Growth Masters.
Sarah’s own journey, together with her passion for helping people discover their true potential and reach a place of healing and inner peace, has led her to launch a new venture specialising in workshop facilitation and one-on-one coaching within the corporate arena.
